ABOUT REBECCA SUERDIECK
Rebecca Suerdieck is an Independant Scholar, Living Historian and Guest Lecturer on many Subjects. She enjoys exploring the different aspects of her research with self-initiated projects.
To accompany the primary sources she scours for information, she also takes it upon herself to actually do what she reads about. These projects have included recreating the various domestic skills that were once in common knowledge by Virginia women - and by rediscovering the original Colonial landscape by studying Church histories to identify the exact location of many forgotten churches.
As a former Rare Books Librarian, Rebecca became aware of lesser-known records of Virginia history from the 17th, 18th and 19th century. In these ancient books and handwritten collections, she discovered an untapped world. She continually explores these documents and happily sings their praises to anyone who will listen.
